I launched this blog to sort out and share my experiences and reflections in my first year of retirement, when life takes such a drastic change. Well, that year has passed, and I am now in my second year on the sidelines of paid employment. But I still enjoy sharing thoughts and tips about this stage of life. Like many of you, I spent more than 40 years in the workforce, my priorities inevitably shaped by the necessity to make a living and the desire to do so in the most rewarding way possible. Now more entrenched in the pleasure of unstructured time, I still enjoy sharing my reflections and discoveries as life continues to unfold. Hi, I am Alina, a second-year retiree in Miami, Florida. Status R is my response to the burning question everyone asks when you announce retirement: “What are you going to do?” Well, I’m going to figure it out as I go, and write about it in this blog. I will share my experiences and reflections on the initial days of retirement, and pass on any practical info I find. I hope some of it resonates with readers in a good way and provides a fresh perspective or suggests a new approach.
